never really wrung my heart or made me catch my breath. I suppose this is because the supposed climax of the book never really felt like a climax. Still, the characters are charming and I don't think Lisa Kleypas has ever described a place as lovely as Rainshadow Road. As far as I can tell this is also her first foray into magic, and I actually do like the way she's made it so very understated and not the main point of the book.
This book is a nice easy read for a lazy afternoon. Though I do wish we could have seen more of the churchgoing bikers.
