This book could have been rated a star extra if it didn't leave me with a sort of sense of disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was a great read. Archimedes was amazingly charming and Yasmeen possibly one of the baddest HBIC's I've read, and together they were all the superlative adjectives.
But towards the end, the major confrontation that had been teased throughout the entire book fizzled into nothing. Meljean Brooks missed a great opportunity with the state of the towers, and in the end comeuppance was awfully convenient. One didn't really feel a sense of satisfaction after reaching the last chapter, but nonetheless, it's a good entertaining read with great characters.
