The only thing that made this book for me was the description of all the cakes. Basically made me hungry. I think Roberts missed a pretty good deal with this book. The characters were interesting but for some reason the romance fell flat. The Kiss that Started It All felt somewhat contrived and the conflict that extended the book and kept the Happily Ever After from coming in chapters earlier was pretty handled rather weakly. I think this is a case where the characters' personalities were a bit too strong and intelligent and got in the way of a really emotionally stirring outcome.
