Funnily enough, what snagged me the most about this book wasn't actually the romance but the relationship between Phillip and his two children -- and possibly the way Phillip mends his bridges with Eloise's brothers. Also, Eloise was an excellent character throughout the rest of her siblings's books, but here she seems rather toned down, which was disappointing. I suppose this is because we finally get to see the inside of her head and she's finally fleshed out.
